Our mission is to enhance the quality of life of seniors in the community, directly and indirectly, by providing services, programs, and opportunities to meet their ever changing needs.
Funding for this organization is provided in part by the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development and the City of Glens Falls Office of Community Development
The Conkling Center's On The Go transportation program provides individuals 55+ accessible transportation to medical and rehabilitation appointments, banks, grocery stores, hairdressers, restaurants and many other destinations in the community. This door-to-door service is available within a 20 mile radius of the city of Glens Falls. Donations are greatly appreciated.
The Conkling Center offers a variety of ongoing programs to help support seniors in Glens Falls and surrounding areas. The Ice Melt program distributes free ice melt for seniors to help prevent injuries during hazardous winter conditions. The annual Aging Well Forum provides training, education, and information for seniors and those who care for and about them, including guest speakers and special events.
