The history of Lake George Battlefield Park will be shared, from the pre-Colonial era through the wars of the 18th Century which helped determine the course of the North American continent and the birth of the United States. The Battlefield Park's progression since New York State took possession of the site in the late 1800s has led to a current state in which several projects now underway are reinforcing its prominent place in American history.
The Lake George Battlefield Park Alliance is a non-profit "friends group" to the park that protects the site's history and educates the public on the important battles and other activities that occurred there during the French & Indian War and the American Revolution.
Margy Mannix is the Lake George Town and Village Historian, a Trustee of the Lake George Battlefield Park Alliance, and a member of the Warren County Commission for the 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution.
John DiNuzzo is President of the Lake George Battlefield Park Alliance, a Trustee of the Warren County Historical Society, and a member of the Warren County Commission for the 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution.
